A gas-fired cogeneration plant (CHP) simultaneously generates heat and electricity.
With its performance, it is designed for a range of applications including residential and commercial businesses. On the heating side, the CHP unit operates in parallel to a boiler. Both heat sources are connected to the heating system for the production of heat and hot water.
With more than 25 years' experience in this product sector, Viessmann offers efficient gas operated systems for combined heat and power generation. Our solutions are ideal for a range of applications including large residential buildings, commercial and industrial premises, municipal buildings and offices. They are well suited to both modernisation projects and new builds. In addition to standard products, we also manufacture individually designed combined heat and power units tailored to customers' individual requirements.
When power is generated in power stations (centralised power supply), heat is created that is often lost to the environment without being used. The utilisation of this heat, e.g. for heating buildings, reduces heat losses and lowers emissions that are damaging to the environment.
Combined heat and power generation enables up to 36% of primary energy to be saved and is therefore one of the most efficient energy-saving methods available today.
Every CHP module with an electrical output of up to 20 kWel is equipped at the factory with a condensing heat exchanger. The larger units can be supplemented with a condensing heat exchanger. This raises the overall efficiency to up to 95 percent, which minimises fuel usage.
Prior to despatch, each individual CHP unit is subjected to extensive tests on the in-housetest bed. As part of these tests, specified output values for the unit are documented, keeping the effort when commissioning the system at the customer's premises to a minimum. Viessmann hands over these units fully tested and ready for use.
From initial consultation at the plannning stage through to expert after sales support, you can be sure that Viessman's world-class customer service is always available.
We recognise that the needs of our customers vary greatly. That's why we offer a comprehensive range of service options for our natural gas powered CHP units. From routine servicing and maintenance to complete overhauls, you can choose the package that best reflects your needs and level of in-house experience in system maintenance.
The Vitobloc 200 EM-50/81 CHP units deliver an output of 50 kWel and 81 kWth. A downstream condensing heat exchanger allows up to 16 kWth to be supplied to the heating system as well.
A robust CHP unit that offers reliable, economical & environmentally friendly heat and power for on-site consumption. Suitable for use in a range of residential, commercial and industrial applications, the 200-EM features ...
